The must-have piece for the season is the denim jacket! It has made a huge comeback to our everyday lives. The great thing about a denim jacket is, you can style it simply, and it will transform your outfits.
A denim jacket can change a dressy outfit and make it look casual.
I have heard too many people ask "Where can I wear that dress?" or "Will I ever wear the dress after the event I'm going to?" EASY... pop a denim jacket over the top and voila you have a new everyday look!
Can you wear double denim? Yes... but it definitely comes with a warning note. Make sure the tones of blue are different, so you are not matchy-matchy. It also helps if your top is longer in-between so it breaks up the denim.
Comfort is key. You want your jacket to be tran-seasonal and have enough room to layer underneath. If you are always on the run, picking up kids or chasing the dog, ideally choose a jacket that has a touch of stretch (elastane) in the fabric.
Denim jackets are not for everyone. If they aren't you, I would personally encourage you to go towards a natural coloured denim, linen or cotton jacket for the summer. The natural, sand colourways are the best as they go with everything!
