Jeepers the last two months have flown by. I meant to blog about our travels, but life took over! Looking back... woooah how good are Santorini and Mykonos? Santorini is surreal. Huge cliff faces with houses all carefully jammed in together, somehow not collapsing. We stayed in renovated donkey huts with the most spectacular sunset view. Call me weird, but I don't like sand between my toes, so the pool and view combination were perfect.
It was HOT with a lot of stair climbing. I was so unfit every muscle hurt the second day. The townships had cute little stoned walkways with shops that opened at 10 am and closed at 2 am! I don't think our girls would be too keen on those hours. The town came alive at 10 pm and started to party at midnight. We only found this out halfway through our stay when we managed to stay out past 10 pm! The food was amazing; the prices were not so amazing. One pub I had a NZD 12 coke! I hear it has changed a lot since ten years ago.
So getting pack to my packing! I had packed plenty of dresses, lots of tees and my Elm stripey skirt. But after a couple of days, I realised I had stuffed up by not packing a lightweight pair of shorts. To be honest, I'm not the best packer unless I take the time to sort outfits. My stripey skirt didn't go with my printed tees, and I was sweating up a storm, with my non-existent thigh gap, shorts is what I needed!
